An automatic draft in the US is pending to go into effect in December, and most states automatically register eligible men for the draft. According to the Selective Service System (www.sss.gov) almost all male US citizens and male immigrants, who are 18 through 25, are required to register with Selective Service.

The Peace Center has partnered with Quaker House for a Conscientious Objection Workshop to share what it means to object with conscience to participating in war, the legal process to object with conscience, and how to draft a statement of conscience.

Attend for yourself or a loved one who is or will be eligible for the draft, or an active service member who wants to learn more about conscientious objection.
