Do you work for the state government, a state college, a school system, locality, or a private employer that participates in the United Way Campaign?
If so…you can invest in the Peace Center directly, through the United Way and Combined Virginia Campaigns!
Each fall, central Virginia supports the work of local nonprofits through workplace giving. Again this year, the Peace Center is part of this regional program. Donors to either campaign can designate specific organizations to receive their gift. Please consider designating the Peace Center as a recipient of your donation this fall.
State employees, including those at public universities participate through the Combined Virginia Campaign (CVC). You can contribute online here (You can also contribute directly at the CVC website: www.cvc.virginia.gov) All you have to do is write “Richmond Peace Education Center.” on the online (or paper) form. Our organization code is 03751.
Local government and school employees, and employees of private firms participate through the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg. You can designate the Peace Center either online through the e-pledge portal, or on your paper pledge card. All you need to do is fill in the Richmond Peace Education Center’s name and address, (3500 Patterson Ave., Richmond VA 23221.)
Investing through either campaign has the added benefit of helping us maintain our partnership with the CVC and United Way–we’re required to meet a minimum participation level in order to continue this collaboration each year
In addition, we have one additional request: If you have like-minded colleagues and co-workers who might also like to support the Peace Center, please invite them to designate their contributions as well.
We are proud of the work we do in central Virginia. And we are most grateful to the members of our community who help make that work possible. We are especially grateful to CVC and United Way donors. Designating the Peace Center as a recipient not only provides financial support, but also reminds the people of central Virginia about the importance of our efforts for peace and justice.
Thank you so much for your support.
