Don’t miss the Richmond Youth Peace Project’s Generation Dream 2016, a powerful “EduConcert” honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
For the past eleven years, RYPP–the Peace Center’s program for teens–has showcased talented young people from throughout central Virginia in performances promoting peace, nonviolence and issues of social justice.
The performance is inspirational and uplifting….and most importantly, the event gives our region’s youth a platform to make their voices heard.
This winter’s first show is scheduled for February 5, 7 p.m., at the Richmond Public Library’s downtown branch, as a
First Friday event.
A second show is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 3 p.m. at the new Huguenot High School auditorium.
A third show date and location will be announced later this winter.
Auditions are required for new performers. For information or to schedule an audition, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Video of previous performances can be viewed on the Peace Center’s YouTube Channel.
Generation Dream 2016 is funded in part by CultureWorks championed by Altria. Additional support comes from the Robins Foundation and our individual and faith community supporters.
