RESTORING COMMUNITY: THE “REAL DEAL” OF PUBLIC HOUSING
REPHRAME TO HOLD 7TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY FORUM ON OCTOBER 28, 2014
On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 5:30 PM, REPHRAME will sponsor its 7th
Annual Community Forum highlighting the concerns of public housing
residents in Richmond. The event will be held at SIXTH MT. ZION
BAPTIST CHURCH, 14 W. DUVAL STREET, RICHMOND, VA 23220 in the FELLOWSHIP
HALL. Dinner will be provided and children are welcome.
PUBLIC HOUSING REDEVELOPMENT, EXCESS UTILITY CHARGES, TRANSPORTATION,
AND THE “FIGHT FOR 15” (FAST FOOD MINIMUM WAGE) CAMPAIGN will be
topics at this year’s community forum.
Information vendors will be on-site providing resources to attendees,
and will include an AFFORDABLE CARE ACT NAVIGATOR for persons interested
in learning more about health care coverage options.
REPHRAME is an alliance of public housing residents, advocates, and
community groups. The organization formed in 2008 to make sure public
housing residents in Richmond, working alongside allies, have a voice in
REPHRAME advocates for policies that treat public housing residents
fairly, and for thriving and inclusive communities. Come and learn
about policies that affect our community, and ADD YOUR VOICE TO A
COMMUNITY-LED PROCESS for positive change.
