Do you work for the state, a school system or locality, or a private employer that participates in the United Way Campaign?
Every fall, citizens of central Virginia are invited to support the efforts of local nonprofits through workplace giving. State employees, including those at public universities participate through the CVC. Local government and school employees and employees of private firms participate through the United Way.
Once again this year, the Peace Center is a participant in these campaigns to support the programs and services of local nonprofits. Donors to both campaigns can designate specific organizations as recipients of their annual gifts. We hope you’ll consider supporting the Peace Center this fall when you are asked to participate.
State employees: You can find a fillable copy of this year’s CVC pledge form here. (You can also contribute directly at the CVC website: All you have to do is write “Richmond Peace Education Center.” on the online (or paper) form. Our organization code is 03751.
For local government and school employees, and private sector workers, you can find your United Way pledge form here. At Step 3, simply choose option C: Agency Designation, and write in “Richmond Peace Education Center, 3500 Patterson Ave., Richmond VA 23221.”
Investing through either campaign has the added benefit of helping us maintain our partnership with the CVC and United Way– organizations must meet a minimum participation level in order to continue this collaboration each year
We have an additional request: If you have co-workers who might also like to support the Peace Center, please invite them to designate their contributions as well. Share the story of the Peace Center–This brochure might be a useful tool to pass along.
We are very proud of the work we do in central Virginia. And we are grateful to the members of our community who help make that work possible.
We are especially grateful to CVC and United Way donors. Designating the Peace Center as a recipient not only provides financial support, but also helps remind the people of central Virginia about the importance of our efforts for peace and justice.
Thank you so much for your support.
