We’re in the final countdown to the 2014 auction, RPEC’s biggest fundraiser, “fun”-raiser, and friendraiser of the year. There are still some tickets left so if you haven’t bought yours yet there’s still time!
And if you’ve bought your ticket already (or if you can’t make it for some reason), would you consider buying another ticket and donating it to RPEC? This is the only way that many of our RPEC youth leaders and activists can attend the auction. Though it’s always good to see “old” friends at the auction, it’s especially good…and important to RPEC’s future…to see new friends there too. Just go to the website or contact the RPEC office to buy and donate tickets.
We have a spectacular array of prizes this year with quite a number of new items. The silent auction will bowl you over as you examine table after table of over 200 treasures, some undoubtedly with your name on them while you enjoy hors d’ouvres and your 2 free cocktails.
We have a few new procedures this year that you’ll want to know. We will close the silent auction in sections so bidding may heat up as each section closes. And we have a handful of “fixed price” items which allows people to buy these items for the price set for them, rather than bidding.
Ticket holders should look for a communique soon from the office that will give you a sneak peak of what’s up for grabs including nights on the town, getaways out of town (to some pretty fabulous places), festive meals, opportunities to meet local notables, home and garden services, and much more.
Here’s a preview of the Live Auction to help you get your bidding strategy started.
