2020 Youth Peace Summit Postponed!

Given the public health concerns of the Coronavirus coming from the Center for Disease Control, we have been keeping an eye on other regional event cancellations. At this time, we have decided to postpone the upcoming March 21st Youth Peace Summit.

Under the guidance of the Center for Disease Control, we feel unable to adequately adapt to the recommended virus prevention standards given the size and scope of event attendance. As we are working jointly with Youth Violence Prevention Week, we encourage folks to attend the smaller, local events throughout that week.

We know that this is one of our most well-attended and beloved events and, while we are saddened to not be able to host the Summit, we are prioritizing the safety of the attendees and staff. The staff and volunteers dedicate much of their time preparing for this event so to honor their capacity, we feel a precautionary cancellation is a necessary step.

Thank you for your support and understanding, and we encourage you to enjoy Youth Violence Prevention Week, March 16th-20th.
