This month we will be watching Confronting the Truth. The film, directed by Peabody and Gold Hugo Award winner Steve York and made in association with the United States Institute for Peace, discusses truth and reconciliation processes in South Africa, Peru, East Timor, and Morocco.

Hear testimonies from victims and perpetrators of human rights abuses. Learn how truth and reconciliation commissions work. Follow the struggle to prevent future crimes. The film  features interviews by Rev. Desmond Tutu and Jose Ramos-Horta.

Confronting the Truth explores how dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and the truth, no matter how tough, can bridge the most insurmountable divides. It shows that a common ground can always be found and that reconciliation is the only way to prevent future tragedy.
