Peace Essay
Winston Willett, Moody MS, gr. 7
Any Nobel Prize is an extreme honor and should be received as one of the highest awards for one's work or achievements. The Nobel Peace Prize is especially important because it recognizes someone who has greatly promoted peace in a certain part of the world. With so much conflict and turmoil in current days, it is extremely important to have people in the world who are working to create peace. The Nobel Peace Prize is important because the recognition of the success of those actions toward peace could inspire someone or a group of people to do the same. If I were to try to win the Youth Peace Prize, I would want to help to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine. They have been in conflict for decades fighting for their own existence, while trying to prevent the other's presence.
People have fought throughout time often because of perceived differences between themselves and others. Many such conflicts like the one between Israel and Palestine have started in part from misunderstandings of each other's culture. If there was a way for Israel and Palestine to understand each other's culture better, then they may find that they have much in common, and they would have less reason to fight.
I have formulated a plan that would help Palestine and Israel understand each other's culture better. I would like to set up a program that would bring Palestinian teachers to Israeli schools and Israeli teachers to Palestinian schools. The teachers would visit a school in the other country for six weeks and they would follow and observe another teacher teaching the same subject as they are. Although this would seem to be an insignificant action, I think this program will bring about one of the necessary realizations required for peace between Israel and Palestine. That realization would come as Israeli and Palestinian teachers and children find that they are much the same and they have many things in common. I think this is the most important thing for people to understand because, after seeing that they are the same, most people would ask themselves why they are fighting each other. This recognition would possibly help to resolve the Israeli Palestine conflict because its start is due at least in part to their misunderstanding of each other's culture.
The program I have proposed is similar to other cultural exchange programs that have worked in the past. My grandmother participated in a cultural exchange program during the 1970's called Operation Understanding. Countries would send citizens to stay with families in other countries for several weeks to help them understand the other country's culture. My grandmother visited Israel and stayed with a family where she learned many things about them by participating in their daily activities.
I think that teachers would be the best people to involve in my program because, after observing in the other country, they would have obtained a great amount of information that they could turn around and share with the children they teach. This will hopefully result in the children having a better long-term understanding of how they have much in common. This program will not only help teachers but also students realize that they are very similar to their "enemies" before they are exposed to the stereotypes of perceived differences between the two countries.
While seeing this plan, one might wonder how a twelve year old boy in Richmond, Virginia might accomplish this very difficult task. I have addressed this problem with a two part progression that would lead into my final program. There are some things in my plan that are within my ability and some that will require higher authority and resources. The first part of my program, which would be within my abilities, would be for me to setup an online forum. This forum would be a place where teachers and students from Israel and Palestine could go and discuss their own problems. Most likely when reading posts the teachers and students from the opposing areas will find that they are facing many of the same problems. For example, while reading a post from another teacher in Palestine about how their students were not paying attention in class, the Israeli teacher reading the post would find that they had the same problem with their students. I hope that the teachers and students seeing the posts on the forum will have some of the realizations that I hope to achieve in the teacher exchange program.
Because I do not have the power and resources to start the physical teacher exchange for the second part of my program, I will hopefully be able to pass the idea to higher authorities to have the project initiated. Introducing this idea to my school's PTA would be one way to start my program. The PT A would possibly be able to contact schools in Palestine and Israel and they would be able to arrange and fund the physical exchange program.
Finally, my program could hopefully inspire other people to form similar programs to help with other countries having conflicts with one another. People wanting to contribute could help and volunteer, which would result in my program expanding even more. With this expansion more teachers would be able to come to other schools that are in their opposing countries. Instead of negotiations with high political figures, using this program, teachers will hopefully go back to their own schools and share the lessons that they learned with their students. The students then could share the lessons with their families at home. After seeing that the children of both countries are very similar, teachers will hopefully teach without bias against people of their opposing country.
The teacher's long-term impact on how the students think about others is tremendous. This is extremely important because the children are the ones who will soon lead the opposing nations and decide whether or not there will be a conflict. This type of program could possibly be used in other countries in conflict fueled by stereotypes. Teachers would not be the only ones that could be in this program: community leaders and other influential figures on a more local basis could also take place in this exchange program.
It is so important for different people to understand each other and through that understanding see that they are very similar. If that realization could happen in Israel and Palestine, the conflict between them could possibly be solved.

Peace
Timothy Petrucelli,
St. Edward Epiphany, gr. 6
Peace has been something that people have been trying to spread for as long as there has been a problem. Sometimes people succeed and make an enormous affect on the world like Mother Theresa did, but others are hardly recognized even though they are trying to change the world for the better. Peace is not only preventing or ending conflict; it also can be helping others that cannot have a peaceful life like us. For those who do succeed, is the chance to be granted the Nobel Peace Prize for what they have done to spread peace throughout the world. As for me I would work to help restore everyday life to people affected by the tsunami in Japan.
Japan currently is in need of all the assistance possible after having an earthquake causing a horrific tsunami and continuing nuclear meltdowns. On March 11, 2011, an earthquake hit the coast of Japan, causing a horrendous tsunami killing thousands. The earthquake, which hit a jaw dropping 9.0 on the Richter scale, is the worst recorded earthquake to hit the country. On top of that they are also facing the worst nuclear disaster since the incident at Chernobyl. Explosions and radioactive gas leaks have taken place in three nuclear power plants and are still continuing. The world has been donating money to help rebuild but, no one seems to be paying attention to the fact that peoples' lives have been obliterated. Thousands of people have already died, so we need to ensure that no one else does the same. Life is too precious to let it pass by. We need to act yesterday; too many people are dying of injury and unfortunately suicide. Japan needs help now and we need to provide it.
We can help restore peace in Japan in other ways than just donating money. Being a twelve year old kid myself I would like to help out the children that have lost their entire family. I do not expect to be able to help everyone but even helping just a few can make a huge impact on some peoples' lives. I would like to make a shelter for these kids to live in and be taught how to cope with the tragedy and to live on their own. At this shelter the kids would also be helped find new families to take care of them and love them. This shelter would provide counselors to help the kids deal with the grief of losing their family and to get back on track with their lives. Also, the shelter would provide clean food and water for meals since the nuclear meltdowns have tainted much of the food and water there. There would be a form of education provided for the kids and they would be able to interact with other kids to allow them to make new friends.
The way I plan to do this will take several steps. The first thing I plan to do is hold many fund raisers to get started on getting the money needed. The next thing I plan to do is to try to advertise and get well know companies sponsor some of the fund raisers. After I get the money I will try to connect with a good group in the Red Cross to create the shelter in Japan. While it is being built I will find people to work with the kids. Then the Lost and Loved shelter will be opened and I will have reached my goal of spreading peace to children that need it.
Peace does not need to be just about stopping conflicts, it can also about helping others that need it. Japan really needs help and I intend to do so. I plan to open a shelter called the Lost and Loved shelter for children who have lost all of their family. It will help the kids live a better life.

Peace Essay
Conner Comet (St. Edward Epiphany, gr. 6
Each year at least one person is executed for a crime they didn't commit. One-hundred-thirty-nine innocent people in recent years, got off the death penalty, some only minutes away from their execution. Statistics show that race plays a role in determining who lives and dies. There is no credible evidence that the death penalty deters crime. The death penalty is wrong and abusive to human dignity.
There are many ways I could help bring an end to the death penalty. First I would bring a speaker to my school to talk about the death penalty. Then I would organize a poster campaign and a death penalty awareness week at my school and invite local reporters. After that I would organize a petition and send it to my congressmen and senators. Along with the petition I would ask my congressman to eliminate the death penalty in my state.
I couldn't do this by myself. By conducting the poster campaign and death penalty awareness week at school I will get my classmates involved. Local reporters covering this event will help to get community participation. Finally, I will need to get lawmakers who can help pass the law to abolish the death penalty.
There are endless ways to promote peace and justice throughout the world. You can always get people to help you and work on many problems. Peace is most important to everyone in the world.

Peter Brodzik Moody MS, Henrico, gr. 8
Proliferation is the rapid increase in numbers or numerical value of objects. All over the world, tension grows as countries expand their inventories; treaties and pacts are violated and alliances are cancelled. The Earth is turning into one large warehouse of nuclear, chemical, and biological weaponry. Relations between countries are deteriorating on the national, international, and world scales. While the stockpile of each country's nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons nearly grows in proportion to the other countries, nothing is gained, but valuable time, money, and relations are wasted and destroyed.
To win this award, I would create a resolution meant to solve the problem of nuclear, chemical, and biological proliferation, and get it passed by the United Nations.
I would strive to eradicate the growing threat of a nuclear war or a biological and chemical weaponry clash. I would propose a gradual decrease of all NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) weaponry of five to ten percent every year, depending on the size of the country's stockpile. This measure would decrease all nations' stockpiles proportionally and stop the conflicts dealing with neighboring or warring countries, in relation to the extensiveness of their firepower. The above mentioned resolution would be submitted to the United Nations, as it is a unifying force, and has devotion from all major world powers and third world nations. Every country part of the United Nations would be responsible for the dismantling and depletion of the according amount of weapons. There would be a new section of the United Nations that would oversee the dismantling and destroying of the percentage set of all the NBC weapons a country possesses.
Decreasing the weapon levels present in the world would lower the tension among the nations and would increase peace holistically. My actions would mimic the process of a fifty ton dumbbell being lifted off the arms of every nation; the world would slowly and more easily be able to form a perfect union.
Since the proliferation of biological and chemical weapons is very prominent in the world and nuclear weapons circulation and generation are considered one of the top issues on the agenda of every superpower nation, it would be achievable to spark interest in a thought out solution to lower NBC weapon values. Advertising would be a large factor in the promotion of this solution. First, I would need to gain the trust and interest of a United Nations member, in order to introduce my resolution. Next, I would put pressure on the United Nations, using organized and peaceful displays in support of my resolution. I would organize international summits centered on the topic of NBC weapon proliferation and its potential solutions that were not mentioned in the resolution. Polls would be created to reach an understanding of those nations who could not attend the summits. Finally, I would need supporters and volunteers to help push my resolution to the top and to be put into action. I would utilize the modern day communication systems of Facebook and Twitter and develop a mass of followers through short posts based on information and reminders of any summits and meetings. Those who supported the cause could help with the propaganda and advertising part of the campaign to assist my resolution to be passed. A website/blog, related to the issue of NBC proliferation, would be created for any specific questions or requests about the bill or the campaign.
World peace is greatly sought after and dreamt for, solving the issues and promoting world peace; creating an easier life and better relations between countries, are all resulting factors of world peace.
Solving conflicts through peaceful negotiations takes longer time, compared to the aggressive solutions, but have long lasting effects for the health of our planet.
The issue of nuclear proliferation was a great one, and it has been solved.

Mary Kenzakowski, St. Edward Epiphany, gr. 6
Peace is very important. This is what brings people together. The world wouldn't be where it is now if it weren't for peace. People can misjudge the power of what kids can do. We have an d can make a difference. There are lots of opportunities to make the world a better place, and anyone who is determined to putting their mind and soul into making our life more peaceful can make a change and earn a Youth Peace Prize.
To earn a Youth Peace Prize, someone would need to support and encourage people through the difficulties of their life, from donating food to a food bank to helping someone get through the depression of being bullied. Every little action counts and does add up. Doing an action to bring peace may seem like a difficult task, but it's really very simple. Helping your little sister make friends or supporting someone who just lost a loved one are great examples of what little actions can bring peace.
One of the main problems I would work on that is very serious right now is bullying. It happens to so many people and it's so devastating that this has to happen to innocent people Sometimes people are bullied so much that they can't handle it and kill themselves. That is just so awful what some actions can do. Someone can pick on someone so much that they can't handle it so their life is just gone.
The saddest part is that suicides because of bullying aren't uncommon. Over 1 million people leave this world because of bullying each year. We can never know what bright future was ahead of those children's lives. They could have changed the world. One of them could have been the first female president, or an amazing singer that everyone loves to hear on the radio, or an inspirational speaker who talks to people about his/her experience through bullying and how to get through it. We'll never know now because they're gone. It's also devastating for friends and family who have to get through losing someone they cherished. You could help if you know anyone that's being bullied and let someone know. Also you can support the person that is a victim of bullying.
Another action that I would work on would have to be hunger. There are lots of hungry people all over and it can sometimes cause death. Everyone deserves to have food, so that's why it's important to give to food banks and give to people that really need your help. This will make world peace one step closer.
I would encourage other people to go out and volunteer or go and donate to a food bank every once in a while and enjoy helping out. I would encourage anyone to help someone they know is upset and in need of support. We are the future and together we will make a difference and peace will be brought to this world as long as we stay focused. If we could do this, maybe we could bring safety to people and help them live full and abundant lives.
Can we Achieve World Peace?
Lillian Whitney Owen, Chickahominy MS, gr. 6
"We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace." This wise quote was told by William Ewart Gladstone. World peace...what is it? Most people don't understand what peace is because the world has never been totally at peace for one nanosecond. We are almost always thinking cruel thoughts about neighbors, fighting wars, fighting with siblings, and declaring more wars. You may be thinking, "If people want to accomplish world peace, then how come nobody reaches a hand out to stop all this?" This question has been troubling many people for thousands of years.
For now, let's just pretend everyone in the whole wide world is kind to others. Let's say nobody fights, nobody steals, nobody points any kind of weapon at another human being, and nobody squabbles with their siblings. Now close your eyes and imagine for one glorious moment that the world was perfect. You are shaking hands with your enemies and you are giggling and laughing with your friends. A total stranger walks up to you and offers a bright, warm smile that fills your heart. Everybody is content in the world we live in. Now do me a favor and open your eyes. Wasn't that moment of peace inside your head amazing and wonderful? Wouldn't you like to make that little daydream a huge reality? If you could, you would change the world with a snap of your fingers and make it just like that vision I put inside your head, right? Well, it is almost as easy as snapping your fingers, but not quite.
To encourage world peace, all we have to do is spread cheer and happiness across the globe. A little act of kindness will make a huge difference in the future. Call up your grandparents and tell them how much you love them, for you never know when their breath will be taken. Or you could smile to a stranger; not a little half-hearted smile though. I mean a real smile that will brighten someone's day. You could even walk up to a friend and tell them how much they mean to you and that no matter how hard times are, you will never ever go your separate ways. I am not saying you have to go and spend all your money on your friends and family, because the best gift they could get from you is knowing that you appreciate their relationship to you.
If I had a chance to win the Nobel Peace Prize, I would start to make the world a better place. I would do this by starting small and hanging up posters around my town that tell people to be kind to others . Then I would gather a neighborhood meeting and give a lecture on how we can make the world a better place. Then I would take a huge step and figure out a way to contact the president of the United States of America. I would remind him that America is supposed to be a country of freedom and peace. I would tell him all about how many innocent people go to jail. I would encourage him to put a stop to the war and sign a treaty saying that the fighting is over. I would do whatever it takes to persuade him to end world violence and start world peace.
I am going to take you back a couple of centuries and tell you a bit about the French and Indian War. Great Britain wanted to be seen as a world power by owning land and becoming dominant over many countries. Great Britain began moving west but ran into the French. A huge war broke out between Great Britain and France. Great Britain attacked the French for owning land that they wanted. Doesn't this seem a bit odd? The French didn't do anything and Great Britain fights a war with them, wins, and takes their land. Great Britain was very selfish and wanted all that land to themselves. They wanted to be seen as a world power which means that they need land. They loved this power. Someone has to recognize soon that the power of love is more important than the love of power. Do you think that fighting and killing just for a couple hundred miles of land is a more effective way of being powerful than sharing the land with the French? Wouldn't it have been so much easier to share than to fight?
In conclusion, if we all work together and don't brag, boast, fight, kill, quarrel, steal, tease, or think mean thoughts about anyone, then maybe, just maybe, the world will reach the moment we have all been waiting for; the moment that will go down in history. We may just get that little nanosecond when the world is finally at peace.
Nobel Peace Prize Essay
Natalie Sebastian, St. Edward Epiphany, gr. 6
The Nobel Peace prize was created by Alfred Nobel. The Nobel Peace prize is awarded to great people who are trying to make the world a better place. If the prize was awarded to children there would be many things I would do to try to receive it.
In 1901, the first Nobel Prize was given Henry Dunant, founder of the Red Cross. Dunant shared it with Frederic Passy, a leading international pacifist at the time. The Peace Prize is awarded to five people by a committee called the Norwegian Stormy. The first woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, was Bertha Von Suttner. She published an anti war novel called Lay Down Your Arms. Children have not begun to receive the Peace prize yet, but now we have an idea of what we can do to receive them.
It would be amazing if children could receive the Nobel peace prize. Many children do great things but are not awarded for them. Children underestimate themselves. We can do any thing if we put our mind to it. Lots of children are skilled at doing certain things like singing, writing, or even making peace. I would do many things if I had the chance to be awarded with something as great as the Nobel Peace Prize.
There are many things that I could do, but I should start small. First, I would volunteer at a local homeless or animal shelter. I might also volunteer at a blood drive. Since I am too young to give blood I will stick to signing people in and handing out cookies. As time goes by I could do bigger things like organize a pen pal club in my community and we can communicate between each other, talk about how everything is and how we are alike and different. When I get older I could help clean up the inner city of Richmond, by writing a letter to the governor. When I get even older, about fifteen or sixteen, I can go with kids to Haiti. A few kids from my church go to Haiti about every month or so. I would also collect money to start a club called kids working for peace (k.w.f.p). It would consist of kids from allover the world who are trying to make the world a better place. If we were lucky we could all meet at one place and discuss the problems going on in our country and what we can do to fix them. We can raise money for important causes like the problems in the Middle East, or the relief for Japan.
Everyone in the world should be working to make a better tomorrow for next generations. Children are sometimes the only ones who look past the violence and try to find out what it might be like to live in peace. War, hatred, and violence are not why we were put on this earth. The problems are not just about race, they are also about religion. So many people argue about who or what put us on this earth, that they don't take time to really understand what we were given. Being one world is all about working together, putting aside our differences and finding out what is truly the most important quality to living together. That quality is peace, Peace summons up all the qualities that we should have to live together. Peace includes love, forgiveness, and hope. If we all show peace together we will all live in harmony with each other.
There are over a billion people in the world. Over half of them are children, If we all work together, there will have to be some influence on the world so why not make it a good influence. There are so many horrible things going on in the world that it is very hard to keep track of them. If we all work together we can eliminate the problems from the world.
There are so many great examples of people demonstrating great acts of kindness and bravery for other people. One great example of a person working for others rights is Mohandas Gandhi. Another great example for fighting for people's rights is Martin Luther King Jr. He fought for the rights of African Americans when they were being treated unfairly. One of the most impressive person is Mother Theresa. She took care of people in Calcutta, India. These three people are all great role models.
It would be truly amazing if children were offered the Nobel Peace Prize. There are so many things that we could do. Mr. Nobel would be proud to see us working together to try to achieve peace throughout the world.
Creating World Peace
Savannah Speese, St. Edward Epiphany, gr. 6
When I think of peace, my mind immediately begins to think of what is opposite of peace; war, violence, and hatred. When I think of the problems in the world, I think that every situation starts within the individual person's unhappiness. From the individual it becomes a rippling effect spreading outward to a group, to a city, to a state, to a country, and to the world. I believe in order to have peace in the world we need to focus on the individual person. We need to ensure that everyone has their basic needs met for food, shelter and clothing. We need to improve how we interact with each other. We need to provide opportunities for people to be all that they want to become.
So where do we begin? It starts by making sure that everyone has a place to live, food to eat and clothing to wear. We need to have programs that help people to learn skills to get jobs to support themselves. We need to have childcare available for people who work and don't have families to help them. We must also be willing to help each other, when we see a need.
The two main causes for unrest in the world are the struggles for power and money. There are people who want power. Power to run a country, power over other people, and power to control. The other issue is the quest for money. The world has the extreme rich and the extreme poor, and the poor want to be rich. This comes down to having the opportunity to work for what you have. There are some people who are born with money, but the majority of people work hard for what they have. We need to create a society that will allow people the opportunity to work and earn a living.
Government programs now that provide food stamps, health insurance, and money are missing one important piece. There is no incentive for people to get off these programs. If you continue to give money to people and they don't have to earn it, they will continue expect it While government is trying to help people, they have really created people who expect to be provided for.
Beginning a pay back system is the solution to the problem. If you receive government aid, you must be willing to pay it back in some way. If you received money to go to school, you should have to commit to work in a government run organization until you have repaid your debt. It you receive child care, while you attend school you should have to work
in a child care setting while others go to school. If you receive food stamps, you should only get them for a certain amount of time then you should be expected to work to feed your family or provide food for others.
The constant giving out and expecting nothing back only creates a society that expects to be taken care of. If you have some people working hard and some people waiting to be provided for you have discrepancy and this differences will cause jealousy and from jealousy will come envy and from envy will come violence.
Social programs should focus on development of the individual. They should help each person help themselves and inspire in everyone that what you are given you must paid back with money or time. We need society to honor those who work regardless of the type of work and we need to set standards for anyone expecting the government to provide for them. Social programs should be a helpful tool not a way of life. High schools should offer technical training for those who cannot afford college. Internships and apprentices should be offered for student who may need a trade right away to support a family. The government should offer business that have internships and apprenticeship rewards for training the young and employing them. Guidance counseling should be available to help everyone decide where their talents could best be used.
Finally, to create peace within the individual the family should be respected and preserved. The family is the beginning for each of us. It begins all teaching about the world around us. The family should be where we learn to respect others and respect ourselves. Other people should be valued, not envied. If we learn to respect and provide for ourselves, world peace just may be possible.
Peace Essay
Pranay Vissa , Moody MS, gr. 8
Alfred Nobel once said, "The recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses". This quote empowers me to rise up and take a vow to help rid the world of its problems.
Recently, as we have all seen, the African continent is in a state of turmoil. Political status is crumbling and innocent lives are being taken by cruel leaders. I strongly believe that there is a solution, other than war, in these areas of unrest. My goal is to become a diplomat that works for change in these regions of instability.
When I was 6, somebody said to me, "Help others in whatever you do". At such a young age, I could not understand the meaning of such a powerful call for action because I was never exposed to harsh conditions. I was treated well and my life was full of joy. When I turned 13, I felt a sense of rebirth, as if I had transformed into a new person. I was able to comprehend the world's issues and I felt like there was work to do to bridge the gap between the government and the people. But alas, I was unable to find a suitable problem to tackle until I spoke to one of my friends.
He was an Egyptian teenager that disliked Mubarak's rule. He was worried about his family in Cairo and he was in a state of shock because one of his relatives was injured. After long conversations with him on the bus, I understood the situation in Egypt and I hoped that somebody would fix it.
As a student of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, I have learned to bridge international connections and to make peace with other cultures. Therefore, I firmly believe that I can create change by upholding the IB principles of Open-Minded and Risk-Taker by going to Africa.
As I scanned the news with a greater frequency, I caught snippets of Libyan and Ivorian warfare. The videos sent chills down my spine and it inspired me to help out the Libyan and Ivorian people. I realize that the task will be challenging because many of the rulers have an iron fist over the people around them. But, I will speak in local centers so that the youth of the continent feels the urge to rise up and peacefully dethrone the leaders.
The youth of Africa is my target audience because they are the ones who will set examples for future generations. Youth movements, in general, are very effective in bringing down oppressive governments. In many African countries, more than 50% of the population is under the age of 30. As a result, many of them are connected with the world through the Internet. With such technologies, they have the power to bring change.
Therefore, to create change, I will inspire the youth in the region with the severest situation. Libya will be my first destination because it is caught in a Civil War and more than 5,000 people have died. Due to Gadhafi's refusal to step down from his totalitarian regime, many opposition forces have tried to take him down by force. So far it has resulted in increased bloodshed. To reduce the violence, I will give speeches around Libya and I will inspire the rest of the world as well to protest peacefully in Libya to take down the unjust regime of Gadhafi.
The Ivory Coast is another area where military force is being used against innocent civilians. Currently, the previous Ivorian president is unwilling to step down. There has been brutal conflict between his supporters and the new president's supporters. To reduce the warfare, I will travel to the Ivory Coast to facilitate peace talks with Laurent Gbagbo to discuss his refusal of giving up power. I will call influential speakers to speak for my cause because it will help the people to become inspired by my goal. I will raise money to set up missions in the Ivory Coast for the people who have lost their families due to the fighting. This way, the people of the Ivory Coast can have long lasting peace.
For communication, technology must be used. I will use Facebook as my primary source of information because many young people have accounts. I will create a Facebook account that posts the actions required to bring down unjust governments. I will travel to many villages in conflicted areas such as Libya and the Ivory Coast. Since the Ivory Coast has an illiteracy rate of 51.3%, I hope to spread the message through their local languages as well. Just like the Ivory Coast, other countries have low literacy rates and my message will be spread through their literate people.
In the end, I hope to end the conflicts in Africa by peace talks and youth movements. Alfred Nobel's words will always stay with me in every task that I perform. I will always find ways to help my community and the world around me. I aspire to continue my effort to help other parts of the world as well. This way, the world will truly be safe for everybody. Nelson Mandela said, " I dream of an Africa which is in peace with itself". This is my mission in Africa.
